Sky Rocket x Megan Summer Socks

Kahlotus has been busy growing and showing a great deal of curiosity about her world, including us. She appears to have inherited her mother’s and maternal grandsire’s smaller size; we are projecting her to mature around 42-43”.

Kahlotus has obviously inherited her parents’ stellar gaits and excellent disposition, and she may be the most athletic, energetic baby we've ever seen ... she regularly performs “airs above the ground” and amazes us with her strength, balance and lightness. She’s definitely a superior pack prospect and also a good future driving prospect. Her coat has finally “blown” at age 20 months and combed out very well.

Unfortunately, we can’t keep them all; in fact, we’re looking ahead and trying to trim down ... and we’re already keeping two Sky Rocket daughters (Saucony and Teewinot) and a son (Credo)— we’ll have to part with Kahlotus. Somebody is going to be one very lucky hiker!

Although she is a smaller llama and thus not as aesthetically appealing to those whose essential goals include impressing their friends and getting ribbons from simplistic-minded showring judges, Kahlotus is likely to be a top-notch trail companion for anyone of average height (or shorter). We plan to keep her until proving her out on the trail, but are willing to place her before then with the right person.

Kahlotus is a town in Washington state, with an unclear word origin. Most agreement is that the word derives from a native language, and refers to water in a hole in the ground ... a lake (in the case of the Washington locale) ... or a spring ... well, our Kahlotus certainly springs!
